(I CAN’T GET NO) GOOD CONNECTION

August 29, 2014
(to be sung to the tune of this song here)

I can’t get no good connection
I can’t get no good connection
‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can’t get no, I can’t get no

When I’m sitting at my PC
And that WAIT sign comes on the monitor
It’s telling me more and more
About some useless information
Supposed to soothe my wild impatience
I can’t get no, oh no no no
No more delay
That’s what I pray

I can’t get no good connection
I can’t get no good connection
‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can’t get no, I can’t get no

When I’m watching my YouTube
And that freeze comes on to tell me
How slow my web can be
But I know that ’cause
I can never rip a whole movie
I can’t get no, oh no no no
No more delay
That’s what I pray

I can’t get no good connection
I can’t get no smooth reception
‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can’t get no, I can’t get no

Well I’m shaking my PC
And I’m banging this and I’m screaming that
And I’m trying to Skype with friend
Who tells me better come back maybe next year
‘Cause you see I’m in the fast lane here
I can’t get no, oh no no no
No more delay
That’s what I pray

I can’t get no, I can’t get no
I can’t get no good connection
no good connection, no good connection, no good connection

  1. I actually ruined a computer doing that.

I’m not a Stones fan and there are very few of their songs that I like — this happens to be one of them that I do.

When it first came out in ’65 I never thought anyone could ever cover it and I certainly never expected a parody of it such as you’ve done here. I love it and, yes, I sang along to it — not something you’d want to hear.

    • Great to hear you got to sing along maadmaax. I think a lot of people nowadays can relate to the sentiments expressed in this parody

    • thank you Doug! Probably everyone can relate to the sentiments expressed in this song parody!
